King's Athletics Announces Dates for Annual Special Olympics Practices
On Monday afternoon, the King's College athletic department and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) announced the dates for their 2025 Special Olympics basketball practices in partnership with the Luzerne County Special Olympics athletes.
As always, the practices will be held on Tuesday night's in McGrane Gymnasium inside the Scandlon Physical Education Center and will run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Practices are open to all King's student-athletes and teams, and basketball skills or knowledge are not required.
King's will hold seven practices in 2025 and follow the schedule below:
As always, the practices will be held on Tuesday night's in McGrane Gymnasium inside the Scandlon Physical Education Center and will run from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Practices are open to all King's student-athletes and teams, and basketball skills or knowledge are not required.

- Tuesday, March 4
- Tuesday, March 18
- Tuesday, March 25
- Tuesday, April 1
- Tuesday, April 8 in conjunction with NCAA Division III Week
- Tuesday, April 15
- Tuesday, April 22
The spring season will conclude with the annual red carpet dance and celebration on Tuesday, April 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in McGrane Gymnasium.
